Home Computer Down For A While

Arrrgh. My home computer went kaput over the weekend and I haven't been able to fix it myself. (My definition of "fixing" means a hard shut down and reboot. And boo - - It still doesn't work.)

Anyhow, my blog will be dark until I either get my home computer fixed or I buy a new one. :-( (I'm posting this quick note from work, which I generally don't like to do because who knows if Big Brother's watching.)

Hopefully the IT guy at work can cure my computer because I'm suffering from blog withdrawal. ... and I really don't want to pay for a new laptop now. :-(

Uh oh, that sucks. I know you were planning to replace it. Mine isn't doing well either, I want to buy the laptop and get the old one fixed for Mr M. I hope your IT guy can fix it. I got my computer repaired once by this kid we found on the internet, $50 flat rate for service plus parts including pick up and delivery. I needed a new HD so that was extra, but he did a great job, was quick and affordable. Try looking someone up like that on your lunch break.

How about stopping by the library on your way home from work? Every city I have lived in had a computer with internet connection for patrons to use. This could be a temporary solution until your computer is fixed.

I just had computer problems of my own...my desktop was shutting itself off randomly...not shutting down, but shutting OFF.

I thought that I was going to have to buy a new computer. Instead, I took the cover off and cleaned out the fan. Works fine now. For free. *Shakes head at own ignorance*

Hello shtinkykat author,

As a fellow money (miser) saver I have followed your blog for a little while now.

So I have a little offer for you.

The company I work for would ;like to pay you to put a text link to a credit card site on your blog. I see you have other deals already and would love to join them on the same better terms?!

The website is called creditcardmenu.com and we will be launching a new fantastic looking credit card review and comparison service which is free to our customers; advertising with sites like your should be great for our profile.

So let the bartering begin??!
